Day 975 — Bias Bindings — Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day
Today’s beauty was learning to make continuous bias binding. Making binding is probably boring to most of you, even if you are a quilter, so I won’t bore you with details. The continuous binding works on the principle of a Mobius Strip and you end up cutting a continuous strip from a tube. Anyway from less than half a yard of fabric I got more than seven yards of bias binding. I also was able to sew it on completely by machine. I don’t think I’m as good doing it this way but it is much quicker than by hand.
