Day 79 — Early Morning Surprise- Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day
Today’s beauty is appreciating nature. I was up early and watched the darkened skies turn light. The shape and color changes in the sky were relaxing to watch. As dawn approached, I listened to the qwirr of the rebelled woodpecker and watched him flit from branch to branch searching for food. His soft repeated tapping was what drew me out side so early. In the distance I could hear the deep resonating tones of the pileated woodpecker’s tapping. Before going in I took a quick walk through the garden. Three tulips were in full bloom, That was a beautiful surprise.
