Day 653 -Silence — Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day

Today’s beauty is silence. The house is quiet today. From my window I watch the wind silently ruffle the blue tarp over the camper. In billows and falls, billows and falls noiselessly. In silence I watch the light shadows dance on the tree branches as a neighboring tree sways in the wind. I watch quietly, a chickadee and a nuthatch at the feeder. In silence they spread their wings and sail away, only to return and resume their feast. I sit in silence watching, even my thoughts are quiet today. There is no wandering, no planning, no songs, just a deep satisfying peace and quiet.
