Day 418 My Granddaughter’s Face and war- Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day

Today our final service act was to serve a community meal at the Presbyterian Church. My husband went and picked up my grandchildren, and brought them to eat. Today’s beauty was seeing mmy My granddaughter coward behind my husband with frown on her face. I waved to her from the kitchen and her eyes lit up momentarily. Then I came out of the kitchen and she cracked a smile and dove into my arms.

in the evening sky
a hang glider slowly descends
across the skyline
