Day 376 — Fruits of the Spirit — Self-control — Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day.
Today’s beautiful gift is the last gift of the holy spirit. It is the gift of self control. Self-control is a beautiful gift which is found in both secular and spiritual matters. It can become a beautiful thing when a child no longer looses her temper but leans control for small disappointment. Self control is not just about saying no. Self control comes with a fair amount of right thinking and decision making. We learn also to say when is we have had enough of something, hence the old adage “too much of a good thing is bad for you. To assist us in our quest for self control we need to add healthy practices such as bible time or daily devotions to our regiment.
