Day 271 — Grace — Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day
Today’s beauty is grace. Grace is free gift from God, we do not earn it. It is love and mercy given to us from God and we do not merit it by our own actions. That is the beauty of grace it is a gift, given in love. No matter how much we have screwed up we can be redeemed through grace. That does not give us license to use grace as an excuse to sin. Grace is a gift that we must except through repentance and changing our ways.
“This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:22–24).
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:8–10).
