Day 118 –Spring Colors — Pink -Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day

Today’s beauty is found in the spring color pink. One of the first spring flowers in my garden is my oink lenten roses. They bloom before the last snow and last several months as they slowly fade to green. I also think of the soft pink of some sunsets or the pink shades of some clouds. I have waves of pink flowers in my garden, pink columbine, roses and iris. Each pink flower has a different shade, but equally beautiful. Pink is a color of nurturing and hope. It has a calming effect on people. The darker the pink the more passionate it is perceived. When I view the very soft pink of some of my iris I think of the sweetness and innocence of childhood.
