After the rain the uneven plink of stray drops echoes off the tin roof into the garden. Shoe prints mar the soft ground with each step. A sulfa sips a waterdropledt and a wren forages for insects among the overgrowth. Last evening ‘s moonflowers droop and a hollyhock blossom lies in the mud. Heat and humidity rise to kiss my fingertips. The aroma of mint and earth mingle. I breath deeply inhaling the garden’s beauty.
